Filming “Chasing Zenith” at the Aspen Ideas Festival

Our video of “Chasing Zenith” went viral on Instagram, receiving more than 1 million views, 100,000 likes and 1,000 comments.

We created the video for this large-scale kinetic art installation by Patrick Shearn and Poetic Kinetics at the 2026 Aspen Ideas Festival.

Part of Shearn’s signature Skynet Art Series, the aerial sculpture was suspended between existing trees and designed to move with the wind. Its lightweight materials created a constantly changing display of color, light and movement above the festival grounds.

As videographers and editors, we focused on the relationship between the artwork and its natural setting. Wide shots captured the scale of the installation, while close-ups highlighted the individual materials shifting in the breeze.

Our finished video shows how “Chasing Zenith” transformed the sky into a canvas and encouraged visitors to look up, explore new perspectives and reconnect with a sense of curiosity.
