Collaborating with Patrick Shearn and his studio, Poetic Kinetics, based in Colorado Springs, has been amazing showcasing these art installations and bringing them to life. Their immersive kinetic installations transform everyday environments into moments of wonder, and documenting Aspen Light in Denver. The stainless-steel aspen trees, an homage to Colorado’s iconic groves, shimmer with light and motion, stopping commuters, residents, and visitors in their tracks. Watching people slow down, look up, and share a moment of awe reinforced how thoughtful public art can reshape urban space and invite genuine human connection. Aspen Light on 16th Street is part of a newly rebranded 16th Street (formerly known as the 16th Street Mall), this public artwork joins a broader revitalization effort aimed at transforming one of Denver’s most iconic urban corridors into a vibrant destination with new patios, public art, wider sidewalks, and community spaces that reflect the city’s culture and energy. The stainless-steel aspen trees at Glenarm Plaza — part of this updated pedestrian experience — draw locals and visitors alike, reinforcing how thoughtful Denver public art installations and urban design can shape memorable downtown experiences.

That same sense of magic carried into Off the Beaten Path, a Skynet Series installation presented by Green Box and suspended above Green Mountain Falls, near Colorado Springs. Composed of 35,700 vibrant ribbons, the artwork breathes with wind and light, constantly shifting against the mountain sky. Producing this video came with real technical challenges especially flying drones through invisable wires, but it truly brought the piece to life. Together, these projects reflect what makes working with Poetic Kinetics so special: art that responds to nature, invites reflection, and creates unforgettable shared experiences in the spaces we pass through every day.

The last video showcases Poetic Kinetics’ Enchanted Trees traveling art exhibit, capturing the vibrant, larger-than-life kinetic sculptures that blend nature, color, and movement in outdoor spaces to engage visitors of all ages. Enchanted Trees by Poetic Kinetics features ten towering tree sculptures adorned with shimmering acrylic leaves that refract light and cast shifting colors as they sway in the wind, our video helps promote Poetic Kinetics’ unique blend of art and environment and supports event visibility.
